Charis Charalambous

Charis Charalambous has 15 years of experience bringing together her skills in psychology and in experiential learning methods. Currently, she is working on the development and implementation of two projects she feels passionate about: CYrvivor - Personal Growth Outdoors, facilitating outdoor experiences all over Cyprus for the purposes of survival skill building, personal / team growth and nature appreciation, and Lea.D. in Practice, a blended-learning project on learning design in practice. She holds an MA in Counselling Psychology and received further training in systemic and dialogic practices, experiential learning methods, as well as a variety of other issues, such as human rights, intercultural dialogue and global education, as part of her continuing professional and personal development. In 2012, she took the unconventional step of quitting her steady governmental position in order to pursue a more flexible and rewarding career in a field where she felt she could make a more positive contribution to society. During a series of backpacking trips across the globe, she pursued her own personal development and tested her perseverance, creativity and determination in the face of various challenges and obstacles.
