Katerina Lambraki

Katerina holds an MSc in International Health Care Management, Economics and Policy from the Bocconi University, Milan, Italy. Upon her return to Cyprus she was employed at the Ministry of Health in policy and procurement for 10 years. A key team member in the centralised system of acquisition of goods and services, she identified needs and negotiated public procurement, ensuring that relevant legislation was enforced. She was also involved in policy making decisions regarding tobacco and health. In 2010, Katerina was seconded to the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU as a national Health Attaché where she was responsible for advancing Cypriot health / pharmaceutical and food safety policy on the European level. She successfully delivered key government objectives across negotiated files regarding food safety, medical devices, cross-border healthcare, tobacco and health inequalities. During the 2012 Cyprus Presidency to the EU, she presided and co-chaired working groups, successfully negotiating agreements across member states. She currently works at the Committee of Missing Persons.
