Margarita Kyprianou

Margarita Kyprianou is a consultant within the Advisory Department of PwC Cyprus. She has extensive knowledge οf EU funding programmes, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, innovation, and start-ups. Her role at PwC Cyprus has focused on preparing proposals for European programmes related to entrepreneurship, the development of innovative products, and tourism. Margarita has contributed to major assignments for the Directorate General for European Programmes, Coordination and Development, and the European Commission, such as “Assessing the potential use of Financial Instruments for SMEs, ICT, and the Low-Carbon Economy in Cyprus in the 2014-2020 programming period” and “Smart Factories in New EU member states”.  She has also been a proposal evaluator for the “Entrepreneurial Innovation” programme, under the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism. Margarita has previously worked as a European funding consultant in Cyprus, Italy and Spain, securing funding mainly for SMEs. She was one of the consultants designing and implementing the first intrapreneurship programme for a public organisation in Cyprus. Margarita holds a BA in History and Archaeology from the University Cyprus, an MPhil in Medieval History from Trinity College of Dublin, and an International Diploma in European Planning and Project Management from Pixel. She also completed an MBA at the University of Nicosia on a full scholarship.  Her master’s thesis was focused on innovative SMEs in Cyprus.
